Annual National Honey Show

 

The Grenada Association of Bee-keepers holds an Annual National Honey Show & Honey Quality Competition. The show provides information and awareness on the Bee-keeping Industry in Grenada.

The show focuses on providing information on the nutritional and medicinal values of honey, the importance of bees in food & vegetable production and other products produced by bees.

The following are displayed:

  • Delicacies & Cuisines made from Honey
  • Bee-keepers entries in the National Honey Quality Competition
  • Pollen wax & other products produced by bees
  • Value added products. Example Candles, Soaps, ornamentals
  • Bee-keeping Tools and Accessories
  • Competitive event (involving cultural practices by Beekeepers)
  • Information on health benefits of honey & other products produced by bees.
  • Photo display.
  • Display of foraging material and Information sheets

 


World Food Day Celebration

 

The world Food celebration - to be held in October. This celebration is organised by Ministry of Agriculture and as part of the celebration, food and agricultural exhibition would be held in different parishes.

 

 

Rainbow City Festival

 

This celebration which is orgnaised by the St. Andrew’s Development Organisation (SADO) is held in the month of July. Cultural show and exhibition of arts, crafts and food is displayed in the town of Grenville.

 

 

St. Patrick’s Day Festival

 

This festival duration is for one week, this includes church service, food and cultural exhibitions, concerts and concludes with a street festival.
